Cherbourg & La Hague with kids

The port of Cherbourg, then the beaches and cliffs of La Hague, at the tip of the Cotentin peninsula.

Cherbourg-en-Cotentin is the major port at the tip of the Cotentin peninsula, with its former Art Deco transatlantic liner terminal, now the Cité de la Mer. To the west, La Hague lines up sandy beaches, cliffs and coves along the coastal path. Our story comes from two half-days in August 2026.
