Le Z, on rue de la République in Amiens, is a former bank that has been turned into a restaurant. We've eaten there two or three times already: it's an unusual, pleasant place, and the food is very good. Its lovely terrace is ideal for summer evenings, or any evening when the weather is mild.

A former bank turned restaurant
- Place
- Le Z, 21 rue de la République · Open in Maps
Le Z occupies a former bank that has been turned into a restaurant. The main dining room has a high ceiling: a patterned illuminated ceiling, large crystal chandeliers and a disco ball above the white tables and pale armchairs. An unusual and pleasant place.
We've eaten there two or three times already, and the food is very good. Prices are very affordable, with a menu of the day usually at €11, and for that quality, it's very good value for money.
Le Z can also host large groups, especially during events like the Christmas market: place Gambetta, in the heart of the market, is a 2-minute walk away. Even a coach party can eat there, as long as you book ahead.
A terrace for summer evenings
The lovely terrace, on wooden decking around a big tree, is ideal for summer evenings, or any evening when the weather is mild. On the evening of 3 September, it was pretty busy, with music playing at the back.
